This isn’t fake news, but I do admit that I’ve left out a key element that would put the quote in an understandable context. Planned Parenthood did in fact say that ‘abortion kills the life of a baby.’ And they also stated that abortion is ‘dangerous to your life and health.’
But they said it in 1952.

Part of the pamphlet had a question and answer section. One question was, “Is abortion birth control?” Here was their answer then:
“Definitely not. An abortion requires an operation. It kills the life of a baby after it has begun. It is dangerous to your life and health. It may make you sterile, so when you want children you cannot have them. Birth control merely postpones the beginning of life; abortion kills life.”
That almost sounds…pro-life.
I’m sure this is partly what abortion advocates mean when they say that this isn’t the 1950s anymore. And now they invite their pro-life opponents to ‘join the 21 century,’ when we know so much more than we did in the 50s.
Planned Parenthood officials from the 50s would no doubt have been horrified by the suggestion that they’d one day be known as America’s number one abortion provider. But here we are in 2017, and America has murdered – with the assistance of Planned Parenthood – over 58 million babies in the name of ‘reproductive health’ and ‘women’s rights.’
Is that what they call ‘progress?’
I wonder what’s next in this line of ‘progression.’ Abortion itself has become so normalized in our culture that it seems outdated. It’s lost its thrill.
We already kill people who want to die or whose family members think they should die. They call that ‘death with dignity.’ Soon, people will be able to put their toddlers to sleep (and not in the traditional way) when they become too burdensome.
But let’s not execute murderers and rapists, because that would be barbaric.
