This should make you feel… safer? The Pentagon is launching blimps to defend against cruise missiles fired from ships off the coast. However, some people are worried that these blimps could simply be another avenue for the government to surveil private citizens.
The Republican Party has taken up the mantle of “defender of privacy” and is mounting a campaign to end the NSA domestic spying programs. One of the firs things the GOP would like to do is to hold a hearing into the NSA’s malfeasance.

Conservative philosopher, author and filmmaker Dinesh D’Souza is being charged with a felony by the Department of Justice for allegedly violating campaign finance laws. Interestingly in a strangely similar case from a couple of years ago, a Democrat donor was only charged with a misdemeanor.
