The population of the United States has been politically divided by 50% for decades now. The last Presidential election is a reflection of this.
However, in terms of geography, most of the country is Conservative, having around 80% of it. California is a prime example of political division with about half of the state geographically being Conservative. The same goes for New York.
In the cases with these two states, Sacramento, for example only represents half of the state. The same goes for Albany, New York.
Illinois, for example would be almost totally red, if not for the population of the city of Chicago voting blue. The same is true with New Mexico, being a state which is totally influenced by two cities: Albuquerque and Santa Fe.
Never before in the history of the United States has the necessity for a two-state solution been so evident. With the exception of the Left coast in the west and the east, the country is mostly traditional in political thinking.
The movement for California to secede from the rest of the US should also be expanded to include states on both coasts. A new country should be born which is separate from most of the mid-section.
Economically, such a two-state solution would work because most of the commerce via the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans would help the new nation, and the Gulf of Mexico would be the main port for all trade for the United States.
The truth is, Leftists on both coasts want their state governments to be considered as a world body without borders who literally want the United Nations to act as their true government. The Left want to be part of a New World Order and believe that as long as they are considered as part of the geographic US, this cannot be done. The idea of the whole US dissolving all traces of independence as a sovereign country in favor of being ruled by a NWO is completely unacceptable with Red America, thus the only solution would be secession for these states.
The name “Independent America” comes to mind for this new country, primarily because in the states of this new sovereign government, the independent freedom of their citizens is the furthest thing from reality as it gets, as we see in both California and New York where personal freedom has been replaced with the government regulating everything a person does.
Most Leftists are completely unable to make their own personal decisions and rely on their government to dictate their daily lives, so there would be no problem with this new country being a Police State. In California and New York, for example, the people are unable to make their own decisions and have to have their governments act as parental guides, just for survival.
The Transgender bathroom issue is a classic example of citizens not really having a problem with deciding which restroom to use, until they were told they had one by Obama. Now, suddenly no one knows what restroom to use unless their government tells them which one they are permitted to use.
The same holds true for the illegal immigration issue in the blue states. The attitude is, “Who cares if Illegals flood our states and take every unskilled and semi-skilled job available, Big Brother will take care of us and give us food stamps and welfare.”
With the political climate in the US today, the two-state solution is the only way to go. For those who have drastic political ideals that differ from that of their state, it is time to move where your ideals fit the system.
