Krauthammer Calls Trump’s Immigration Orders ‘Rushed,’ ‘Amateurish,’ and ‘Botched’ [VIDEO]

Obviously, not everyone’s on board with Trump’s actions his first week. And I’m not just talking about the protesters who blocked airports who aren’t ever going to agree with anything Trump does, just because he’s Trump.

Others who identify as at least marginally conservative think that developing “extreme vetting” measures is a good thing in theory, but the way the Trump administration executed it was terrible.

Commentator and writer Charles Krauthammer is one of those critics. He called the rollout of the changes ‘rushed,’ ‘amateurish’ and ‘botched’ on the O’Reilly Factor:

Trending: Bad Hombres Apprehended Near Texas Border… Sex Offenders, Gang Members

BILL O’REILLY: So, the big picture is what I want to talk to you about. The vetting itself, or extreme vetting as Mr. Trump calls it, that’s not a bad thing, is it?

KRAUTHAMMER: No, but what you have to have is a policy that you vet before you loose it on the world in the most amateurish, botched way. I mean, it is utterly ridiculous, first of all, to give no guidance, as to what you do with somebody holding a green card. Then, you change the guidance. You should have stated from the beginning, if you have a green card, listen, you are not going to be stopped. They were stopped. That should have never of happened.

It is not only that they rushed it, they did it in a terrible way. In theory, of course, you want to have a strengthened vetting process, a new administration should have a chance to review procedures. But you don’t announce that you are going to all of a sudden have a new process and stop everybody who is already flying already in the air with a valid visa and stop them when they land.
