One of the hallmarks of our American system is the peaceful transition of power from one group of leaders to another.
This transition takes place at a certain level every year, but it happens in a major way every four to eight years, and for almost 150 years now that transition has been bloodless (generally speaking). Sadly, it seems that while conservatives were able to bloodlessly accept the most liberal, anti-American president in our history eight years ago, liberals are unable to do the same with a mildly right-of-center Donald Trump. Yes, Trump is more bombastic than your usual politician, but his policies are generally to the center of the American mainstream, so it seems that either the American left has lost its ever-loving mind, or some people just like protesting and some people just like violence.
Since the announcement that Donald Trump would be our next President, liberals have been marching, protesting, and behaving violently… because “democracy.”
On CNN a protester by the name of Lily even called for blood.
“If we don’t fight, then who will fight for us? People had to die for your freedom where we’re at today. We can’t just do rallies, we have to fight back. There will be casualties on both sides. There will be because people have to die to make a change in this world. Trump, enough with your racism. Stop splitting families. Don’t split my family.”
For his part, CNN host Don Lemon said that “No one should be advocating violence, I want to make that very clear…”
It feels like too little too late there, Don. Maybe you and your friends in the media shouldn’t have been so hyperbolic about the possibility of a Donald Trump presidency. Maybe you should begin treating Republicans, conservatives, and everyone to the right of Hillary Clinton a bit more respectfully. Perhaps if the media and the politicians on the left weren’t always screaming in terror at the possibility of conservative policies being enacted… the mindless numbskulls currently marching and acting out in violence wouldn’t be worried that the sky was falling simply because a moderate Republican just got elected President.
If you were watching Twitter, you may have noticed how dark things got once liberals started realizing that Donald Trump was going to win the election.
For those protesting, where were you earlier this week? Participation in this election was WAY DOWN. If you were so worried about Donald Trump, maybe you should have voted?
Did all those protesters phone bank and door knock for Hillary? Because turnout cratered this year.

Scenes like this one below have become all too common in recent days.
Watch as a group of violent criminals beat a man simply for “voting Trump.” As usual with these videos, I don’t know what is worse — the ugly display of violence or the disgusting glee with which the onlookers watch.
I wonder how long it will take the media to blame the Tea Party for the violence? The report will probably read something like this… “Trump voters trigger attackers by voting Trump. Poor violent criminals defend themselves by beating up GOP voters.” I’m only half kidding…
Over at the Federalist, Bethany Mandel has some advice for the brainless thugs currently proving Donald Trump voters right.
A generation raised on participation trophies has changed the rules of the game in the tenth inning, deciding only some electoral results would be honored as valid because losing is not an option. Chants of “not my president” are now heard reverberating through urban centers, shouted by the same folks who just a few days ago were warning of civil unrest when Trump was defeated.
By blocking the streets of Manhattan, Chicago, and more, the progressives who staffed Bernie’s army are proving they still don’t understand the first thing about the Trump phenomenon. The hyperbolic clickbait about losing access to contraception and violence against gays is absurd. During his campaign Trump said many ridiculous things, but fear-mongering about birth control and gay rights is standard fare for the Left. Do they even know what they’re protesting? It’s already unclear.
By painting Trump’s agenda with the same brush they’ve used against the rest of the Republican Party while spending the day smearing every single Trump voter as a bigot, racist, sexist, and more, the only thing these city-wide protests are accomplishing is retroactively moving more supporters into Trump’s camp.
