Barbara Walters Calls Obama Messiah

Barbara Walters mad a stunning admission in her recent interview with Piers Morgan. She said that there was so much disappointment with President Obama because “We thought he was going to be… the next Messiah.”

PIERS MORGAN: You have interviewed every president of my lifetime. Why is Obama facing so much opposition now? Why is he struggling so much to really fulfill the great flame of ambition and excitement that he was elected on originally in 2009?

BARBARA WALTERS: Well, you’ve touched on it to a degree. He made so many promises. We thought that he was going to be – I shouldn’t say this at Christmastime, but – the next messiah. And the whole ObamaCare, or whatever you want to call it, the Affordable Health Act, it just hasn’t worked for him, and he’s stumbled around on it, and people feel very disappointed because they expected more.

It’s very difficult when the expectations for you are very high. You’re almost better off when they are low and then they rise and rise. His were very high and they’ve dropped. But you know, he still has several years to go. What does he have, three years, Piers? And, you know, there will be a lot of changes, one thinks in that time.

barbpiersWho thought this, Barbara?

Republicans didn’t think that the President would be the “next Messiah.” Perhaps some Democrats did, but that wouldn’t explain the complete and utter frustration that has embroiled the Obama administration. No, the truth to be found in Barbara’s off-handed remark about President Obama’s messianic heritage is that the MEDIA thought that he was the second coming.

The Media is disappointed in the President because the Media had high expectations because the Media believed that the American people had finally elected a worthy President.

Instead, what we have learned is that the American people elected a man who was (and is) wholly unworthy and unprepared to lead us. Much of the blame for this lays at the feet of the very media who finds itself in the depths of despair over President Obama’s failed tenure. Had the Media not become so enamored with then Senator Obama, we wouldn’t be wringing our hands over his many failures now. Had the media chosen to vet him properly and truly investigate his life and his qualifications for leadership, many in the media wouldn’t be disappointed now.

Barbara Walters misses out on the fact that Republicans weren’t fooled by this snake oil salesman. In fact, we noticed the Messiah complex that the Media was creating almost from the start.

The real question here is, will the media make the same mistake in 2016 when Hillary Clinton is the Democrat nominee? Will they turn her into some version of a deity ready to save us from the train wreck that has been the Obama Presidency? I’m betting that’s exactly what they’ll do…

President Obama and all of his many failures can all be blamed on sycophantic media and their decision to blind themselves to his many failings. Obama never was remotely messianic; they just wished he was.
