In his pre-vacation news conference on August 4th President Obama was asked about Trump’s warning of a rigged election. Naturally, the president ridiculed the possibility. And then he said, “If Mr. Trump is up 10 or 15 points on Election Day and he ends up losing, then, you know, maybe he can raise some questions.” This is the man who assured Bill O’Reilly that there was not even a “smidgen of corruption” in the IRS targeting of conservative groups. This is the same President Obama who said about Secretary Clinton’s use of a private server that, “She would never intentionally put America in any kind of jeopardy.” No one has been prosecuted over at the IRS and Hillary Clinton was not charged with any crime even though the evidence seemed overwhelmingly to indicate she broke the law. So, one has to wonder if Trump’s sudden drop in the official polls are real or something more sinister.
I’m not a conspiracy nut. I don’t believe there was a gunman on the grassy knoll. We really did land on the moon, and Elvis is dead and not on some mother ship waiting to come home. On the other hand there are real conspiracies. The Bolsheviks did plot to overthrow their government. The Fascists in Italy and the Nazis in Germany did the same. You aren’t paranoid if someone is really out to get you. The DNC really did act to make sure Bernie Sanders wouldn’t successfully challenge the Clinton nomination. So how honest are the polls and the media’s reporting of them? Remember how NBC edited Zimmerman’s 911 call to make him seem more racist. The media can’t be counted on to be impartial. We’ve seen lie after lie from the Obama administration and Hillary Clinton has a definite problem with the truth. All this brings us to the question of a rigged election. Is it possible?
The answer to that question is absolutely yes. Newsmax reported on voter fraud in the 2014 election where electronic voting machines switched Republican votes to Democratic votes in three different states. The US News & World Report in 2012 warned that, “Voter and election fraud does exist in America today.” Various states have found non-citizens and felons who are registered to vote. The election of Al Franken in Minnesota was likely made possible by such illegal votes. The ways to rig the system are too numerous to detail, but it should be noted that it is the Democrat Party that fights against voter ID and the cleansing of voter registrations in states like Texas, North Carolina, and Florida.
The only problem the Democrats might have if they try to rig the upcoming election is if the voter fraud was obvious. If polls have Trump up by 10 or 15 points as Obama said, questions could be raised. But, if the polls are rigged to show Trump way behind and he loses by a less than the anticipated margin, then there would be no problem. Again, not to sound like a conspiracy nut, but there is a real danger that the election in November may be compromised.
