Syria Story Means More Obama Lies

Does it feel like we are almost continually discussing some new Obama lie, each and every day? I feel like I am having to write about these lies almost on a daily basis, and it’s not the same ground over and over again. It’s new and distinct lies on different topics and for different reasons. It’s almost as if the White House is full of pathological liars who just can’t help but spew their fabrications.

The latest example comes from several months back.

Do you remember when Secretary of State John Kerry stood up and told the world that we have surefire proof that Syrian President Bashar al Assad was behind a chemical attack that had killed many people? Even as Secretary Kerry made his statement, there were cries of foul play from around the world as others claimed to have proof that al-Qaeda linked rebels had actually been the ones committing the atrocities, including using sarin-gas. Both Kerry and then President Obama repeatedly told us all that they knew for sure the Assad regime was behind the heinous chemical gas attack.

Well, now there may be proof of the Obama administrations lies.

Pulitzer Prize winning journalist and noted liberal, Seymour Hersh, says that he has proof the President and his team lied to the American people and the world about the Syrian gas attack.

But in a long story published Sunday for the London Review of Books, Hersh — best known for his exposés on the cover-ups of the My Lai Massacre and of Abu Ghraib – said the administration “cherry-picked intelligence,” citing conversations with intelligence and military officials.

A former senior intelligence official told me that the Obama administration had altered the available information – in terms of its timing and sequence – to enable the president and his advisers to make intelligence retrieved days after the attack look as if it had been picked up and analysed in real time, as the attack was happening. The distortion, he said, reminded him of the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin incident, when the Johnson administration reversed the sequence of National Security Agency intercepts to justify one of the early bombings of North Vietnam. The same official said there was immense frustration inside the military and intelligence bureaucracy: ‘The guys are throwing their hands in the air and saying, “How can we help this guy” – Obama – “when he and his cronies in the White House make up the intelligence as they go along?”’

Obama liar PinocchioHersh’s report goes on to detail the various ways that the Obama administration twisted the evidence before them in an effort to convince the world to side with us over Syria and the Russians. His piece describes an administration that is continually behind on what is happening and simply can’t keep up with world events. They’ve covered up information about our “allies,” knowing that the American people would have rioted to learn we were partnering with al-Qaeda, and they twisted new intelligence to make it look old. His story also condemns the media for failing to properly vet the administration’s story.

Hersh goes so far as to throw this rhetorical bomb at the liberal Obama administration – “The cherry-picking was similar to the process used to justify the Iraq war.”

You know things are bad when liberals are comparing you to President George W. Bush.

The real question is, how much longer is the legislature going to let this criminal, this profligate liar, continue on without facing justice? The President lives as though the rule of law doesn’t apply to him, and it is up to our representatives to prove to him that it does.

Impeach President Obama now.
