After the horrible verdicts handed down from the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C. this past week, many conservatives are wondering if our nation has already fallen too far to save. In Tuesday’s episode of his eponymous show, Rush Limbaugh took on this idea that we’ve lost the Supreme Court, and this turn may mark the end of our nation as we know it. He also pointed out that modern Democrats simply don’t care about the moral fiber of their leaders, they only care about accomplishing their goals. To them the ends always justify the means…
Even if it means choosing the corrupt Hillary Clinton to lead our nation.
Democrats are making it clear they don’t care how corrupt their leaders are. In fact, the more corrupt their leaders are — if it enables them to defeat us — the better. So here’s to corruption. If it takes corruption — if it takes all kinds of Clintons funny money, Clinton foundations — if it takes selling the White House and selling the presidency to foreign entities, fine, as long as that helps beat conservatives. This wasn’t the case that long ago…
Along a similar line, a caller wondered how the Supreme Court could possibly overturn a law that was properly crafted by elected representatives while choosing to allow unelected bureaucrats to dictate to taxpaying American citizens through corrupt agencies like the EPA. Rush explained that this was simply a symptom of the greater problem – we’ve lost our nation.
… I think what you’re asking me is, how is it that some Texas state officials will pass a legitimate law guaranteed or designed to make abortion safer and Supreme Court comes along and says, “No way, no how! You can’t do that. It’s unconstitutional. Screw you!”
Meanwhile, over here, the EPA can write whatever regulations it wants outside of any congressional action and it becomes law and can never be challenged, right? If that’s the question, it’s a great question; it’s a great illustration of exactly what kind of things we’re up against. The EPA is not the only bureaucracy doing these kinds of things, issuing… The number of regulations that come out of the Obama administration, folks, are in the tens of thousands.
It really wasn’t the most optimistic episode Rush has ever produced, but it was a realistic assessment (if also a sad one) of what is happening in our country today.
