Muslim Leader says Don’t Vote Clinton because of … “Menses’!

Written by eaglerising

I’m going to try to stop laughing long enough to string together a few words in order to relay this hilarious story from a recent Fox News interview with one American Imam.

Imam Abu Taubah, whose real name is Marcus Robertson, was recently speaking with Fox News host Greta Van Susteren when he gave the most creative reason I’ve yet heard for why Muslims (and everyone else) should NOT vote for Hillary Clinton. It started as a normal enough conversation where Taubah delivered a completely normal and rational Muslim rationale for why Hillary Clinton (and women in general) should never be President. (And yes, it is chauvinistic, but no one ever accused Islam of being female friendly.)

“As a Muslim, I object to Hillary Clinton, though. I don’t believe a woman should be the president of a nation. Our prophet, he taught us, whenever a woman is in charge, there’s going to be problems.”

So, a bit chauvinistic, sure. But the next comment is the real money line from the interview… are you ready?

“What if she’s on her menses and it’s time to go to war? She’s gonna press the button ‘cause she’s angry? You know, I don’t believe she should be put in that position.”

He. Said. “Menses.”

Are you kidding? The guy is sitting on national television, speaking with one of the highest rated television hosts in the world, and his argument for not voting for Hillary Clinton is… she might get “menses.” I’m guessing this guy doesn’t know much about human biology because I’m pretty sure that Hillary Clinton stopped experiencing “menses” around 20 years ago. However, even if she still had to deal with her monthly guest, how ridiculous of an argument is this to make on national television?

I’ll bet that no one is ever going to mistake this guy as the philosophical genius behind Islam. Though I’m pretty sure that everything he says in this interview lines up quite well with Muslim theology… which says a lot about Islam.

You can watch the entire interview below. It should also be noted that the Imam condemns the attack on the Orlando nightclub in the interview as well, but the real highlight here is the commentary on Clinton and her “menses.”
