So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday December 7, 2013.

In what will likely be the largest funeral the world has seen in decades, Nelson Mandela’s funeral preparations are now underway.

Amazingly, the unemployment rate in the USA has dropped to a “seemingly” healthy 7%. Sadly, the overall numbers tell a less than healthy story. 41% of the new jobs added to bring down the unemployment rate, were added in government jobs. And the private sector actually shrank in 41 of the 50 states. Economically speaking… this is not so good.

Harry Reid is the only party leader who has allowed some of his staff to avoid Obamacare. Not only that, his personal healthcare costs jumped $4500 dollars thanks to Obamacare.

Representative James Sensenbrenner (R-WI), author of the Patriot Act, says that the Director of National Intelligence James Clapper should be prosecuted for lying to Congress.

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe pushed through the passage of a bill that granted the government sweeping powers to declare state secrets. The purpose is mainly to strengthen defense ties with the United States, especially in light of the recent tension with China. The bill has the minority party in Japan up in arms.

The USA has drawn the “group of death” in their World Cup 2014 draw. It will be tough going for the USA in this upcoming World Cup, but fans are optimistic.

Can Democrats recover from the absolute destruction that is Obamacare? (Let’s hope not.)
