Are Liberals Being “Intentionally Dishonest” about Islamic Terrorism?

Written by eaglerising

Some strong words on Sunday from former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, in the aftermath of the terrorist attack in Orlando, Florida. The former Speaker was a guest on Fox News’ Fox & Friends discussing the horrible massacre when he opined about the failures of certain government leaders to speak plainly about the dangers we face from radical Islam.

All of us ought to pay attention and realize that there is a pattern of people connected by the Internet who are potentially very, very dangerous. And we don’t have a strategy to stop them right now

When host Tucker Carlson brought up the fact that some members of the liberal media seemed to once again be covering up the connection to Islam in the attack, Gingrich explained that this wasn’t an accident. In fact, this was part of an ongoing pattern from liberals both in government and in the media.

Well, the elites in this country are intentionally dishonest. That’s part of why you have the rise of Trump and Sanders. People know that the game is rigged.

They don’t want to tell us the truth about the world, they don’t want to tell us the truth about trade deals, they don’t want to tell us the truth about who is getting payoffs in Washington, and they don’t want to tell us the truth about Islamic terrorism. That shouldn’t shock anybody — Why would you expect the Washington Post and New York Times to be honest about anything?

Whether or not Gingrich is shocked by this realization that the left purposely misleading us in the war on terror, the very notion should spark anger throughout the nation. One of the most important pieces of advice from Sun Tzu’s the Art of War spoke to this very idea that we must be honest about who we are fighting.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

How can we defeat radical Islamic terrorism if our leaders won’t even admit that the threat exists and that we are at war? We can’t.
