We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Tuesday, May 17, 2016.
On Monday the Supreme Court refused to render an opinion on the Obamacare case involving the Little Sisters of the Poor. Instead they chose to send the case back down the ladder, asking both sides to show more compromise in their dispute.
The members of the House Freedom Caucus are doing their very best to lower the federal government’s level of spending, but everyone else in Washington, D.C. seems to be pushing for spending increases!
Another “hate crime” hoax has just been busted. The gay “pastor” who argued that Whole Foods had discriminated against him has been proven a fraud and the alleged incident looks to have NEVER happened. It sure does seem like the vast majority of these “hate crime” incidents these days are simply manufactured by liberal “social justice warriors” looking for some attention.
How would different Middle East borders have affected the development of the combustible region in the 20th /21st century?
Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg is planning to meet with a group of high profile conservatives who are very concerned with the way they are being treated by Facebook. Conservative TV and radio personality Glenn Beck is one of the conservatives who’ll be meeting with Zuckerberg, and he had this to say about the meeting:
“While they are a private business and I support their right to run it any way they desire without government interference,” Beck said, “it would be wonderful if a tool like face book [sic] INDEPENDENTLY CHOSE to hold up Freedom of speech and freedom of association as a corporate principle.”
Gay marriage and transgender advocates have a goal, and it’s not what it seems at first blush.
