What We’re Reading May 12, 2016

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Thursday, May 12, 2016.

New York’s communist mayor, Bill De Blasio, urged his city to boycott their new, local Chick-fil-A, instead the people of New York have been flooding the store with business.

John Stossel explains why it is that free-market healthcare works so much better than socialized medicine. One of his anecdotes comes to us from Canada, where a patient needing a CT scan would be forced to wait for a month before the scan could be done. Meanwhile, that same patient could take their pet to a private veterinary clinic and have the pet scanned the same day!

Why is North Carolina’s Republican Senator, [score]Richard Burr[/score], hiding from the transgender bathroom/individual liberty debate?

Harvard is purging the ‘civil society’ of private student clubs in order to remove resistance to campus orthodoxy, all while training their students for totalitarianism.

A new show from the BBC is surprised to learn that transgendered girls (who were born boys) are not the kind of girls most boys want. I don’t know what is more aggravating, that there is a show about this… or that the media is surprised that heterosexual males want to be with ACTUAL females.

The Florida Senate seat currently held by [score]Marco Rubio[/score] (R-FL) is up for grabs, and the question is, who will take it?

Libertarians, the time for choosing has come. Team Captain America or Team Iron Man?

If conservative Christian churches use the Bible as their source of authority… the liberal church uses anti-culture rhetoric as their authority.
