Rand Paul: “The Left has Lost its Mind” on Abortion and Hillary Clinton is Proof!

Written by eaglerising

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) has grown weary of the left’s insanity when it comes to abortion and he’s speaking out about it now. He posted the following message to his Facebook page, and it’s a wonderful reminder that Senator Paul is one of the best and most engaging communicators on the issue of life. The Senator speaks with moral clarity and power on what some believe (me included) is the most important issue facing our nation and our culture today. Thank you Senator Paul for being a pro-life warrior and a wonderful ally in the defense of life.

From Rand Paul’s Facebook Page:

The left has lost its mind when it comes to abortion, and Hillary Clinton just proved that once again.

On Tuesday’s “The View”, Hillary claimed that a child, on its due date, just before delivery, has no constitutional rights.

Are you serious?

Now, I believe that life begins at conception and that abortion takes the life of an innocent human being. And I’ve heard all the arguments from the left before, but this idea that a baby on its due date still has no constitutional rights? That really takes the cake.

And this woman is running for president.

As a physician, one of the first things I have embraced the most is the principle of ‘do no harm.’ As a senator, I’ve chosen to follow that creed.

I believe completely that it is the government’s duty to protect life, liberty, and property, but primarily and most importantly, a government must protect life. That’s what makes Hillary’s comments outrageous to me.

Just recently, I introduced the Life at Conception Act to end abortion nationwide. And in the Senate next term, I will fight to protect unborn life with every ounce of my being.

I believe protecting innocent life is the moral issue of our time.

And as George Washington stated, democracy requires a virtuous people. That’s why, if we wish to remain free, we have to have a moral compass.

If we don’t know right and wrong, I think we have lost our way, and we have a great risk of going horribly in the wrong direction.

Sadly, we’ve lost our way on the value of human life. Since the tragic Roe v. Wade decision, over 57 million unborn babies have been aborted — and Hillary and the left think this is a cause worth standing for?

This is a travesty.

My Life at Conception Act would end this madness by legally recognizing the scientific fact that life begins at conception.

Using the Supreme Court’s own words against them, my bill would use the 14th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution to grant equal protection under the law to every American — born or unborn.

You can count on me to fight for this bill, to finally end funding for Planned Parenthood, and stop the war on pro-life religious institutions.

Since my election, I’ve led the fight for unborn life in the U.S. Senate. And you can count on me to lead once again when I am re-elected.

I’m counting on your support.
