On Sunday the “other” Democrat contender for the White House, socialist “Bernie” [score]Bernard Sanders[/score], did his best to show that he is as extreme as Hillary Clinton when it comes to killing children. Speaking with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on This Week, Sanders argued that there is no protection for the “unborn” in the Constitution. Seemingly agreeing that, contrary to science, a woman’s vagina offers some kind of magical constitutional protection to humanity.
George Stephanopoulos: You know, Secretary Clinton also said this morning that she doesn’t believe that there are any constitutional rights for the unborn.
Is that your position, as well?
Bernie Sanders: All I know is that I will fight as strong as I can to defend a woman’s right to choose. I believe that it is an outrage that Republicans who tell us how much they hate the government now want to tell every American — every American woman what she can and cannot do with her body. And I do agree with the Secretary. I don’t believe there’s any constitutional protection for the unborn.
George Stephanopoulos: Are you for any restrictions on abortion?
Bernie Sanders: I think that decision ultimately has got to be made by the woman. I have a 100 percent pro-choice voting record throughout my career. That decision must be made by the woman, must be made by her family and her physician, not by the federal government, not by the state government.
And let me tell you something. If elected president, I will not only fight to protect “Roe v. Wade” and a woman’s right to choose, I will take on the Scott Walkers of the world and the other right-wing governors who are trying to restrict and limit that right.
So, let me get this straight. Science tells us that a child is a separate and wholly individual person while still in the mother’s womb, but Bernie and Hillary both say that that person has NO RIGHTS until the moment he/she escapes her mother’s womb? So, their argument is that the uterus and stomach of the mother hold some kind of anti-Constitution shielding?
Folks. The Democrat argument on abortion makes absolutely no sense once you decide to think about the issue honestly. No sense at all. The 14th Amendment argues that the state shall not deprive “any person” of life, liberty or property without due process of the law. A preborn child is most definitely a person. Therefore, contrary to the opinions of Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders, they are Constitutionally endowed with certain unalienable rights.
