Good Samaritan Stops Robbery, Family of Criminal Complains

What is going on in America this month? For the second time in a month, a robbery has been stopped by a Good Samaritan with a gun – and for the second time this month, the family of the criminal is complaining that the hero shouldn’t have stepped in. (If you don’t remember the earlier story, here it is.)

This time our story comes to us from a Dollar Store in Mobile, Alabama.

The thug’s relatives are mad that their kin was shot. Here’s what they had to say:

“If his (the customer) life was not in danger, if no one had a gun up to him, if no one pointed a gun at him – what gives him the right to think that it’s okay to just shoot someone? You should have just left the store and went wherever you had to go in your car or whatever.”

Are you freaking kidding me? These families make me sick. Instead of caring enough about their relative when he wasn’t out threatening people with a gun, they go on to the local news station to complain about the heroic acts of a Good Samaritan? It’s disgusting.

Let’s recap what the Good Samaritan (and the store employees, and the videotape from the stores surveillance system) says happened.

“He had the gun to his head. He had him on his knees. I drew my gun on him and I said ‘Hey don’t move.’ At that point he swung around and before he had a chance to aim the gun at me I fired. I didn’t want to shoot him.”

robberThe violent criminal, who had just weeks before done the same exact thing in a local restaurant, had the store employee on his knees with a GUN TO HIS HEAD! The level of depravity that our culture has sunk to must be worse than I thought, to have two stories like this appear in the same month. Where people can speak out against good and defend evil so openly and without shame.

The Good Samaritan is a hero. He did exactly what anyone who wasn’t robbing a store would hope that he would do. Imagine if it was you, on your knees before a violent thug… would you want the person who could save you to slink out of the store? Or would you want him to draw his weapon and take charge of the situation?

Of course you would want him to step in!

We need more Good Samaritans raising big families and training their children to be heroes too. We need less families like the one this thug has, who will make excuses and blame the good guys when their dirtbag family members get hurt.

Wake up, America.
