What We’re Reading March 14, 2016

Written by Onan Coca

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Monday, March 14, 2016.

Economic principles in Action. The city of Seattle raised its minimum wage to $15 an hour last year; now it’s one year later and the city has suffered its largest drop in employment since 2009!

John Boehner (R-OH) has been out of the picture for months now, but that doesn’t mean that the former Speaker of the House isn’t still causing problems in the Party.

Um. So I guess that’s it then? It seems that Iraq has “run out of money” to fight against ISIS. Iraq has just run into some pretty terrible misfortune in their effort to stop the Muslim terrorist threat.

There has been a lot of debate over the recently canceled Donald Trump rally in Chicago, but the biggest loser in the debacle isn’t Trump’s campaign or the violent thugs who forced the shutdown. No, the biggest loser in the Chicago fiasco is Free Speech and our rights as Americans.

This is the biggest contributing factor to the rise of Donald Trump in the GOP.

By the way, the GOP isn’t done fighting back against the Donald Trump insurgency. The establishment (now joined with the conservatives) is still searching for a way to make this all “right.”

Many of Mizzou’s current and former students are not happy with the sad, liberal turn their college has taken.

In the year of the insurgent political movement, Hillary Clinton might be the worst candidate possible.
