Conservative radio (and now TV) talk show host Mark Levin has finally weighed in on which candidate he would be supporting in the coming days, weeks and months.
On Wednesday, Levin announced on his recently launched TV network, Levin TV, that he was offering his full-throated support for Senator [score]Ted Cruz[/score] (R-TX).
Levin made it clear that he was not simply supporting Cruz because he was against Donald Trump, John Kasich (R-OH) or [score]Marco Rubio[/score] (R-FL), but because Senator Cruz had proven to be a defender of the ‘Constitution, the Republic, individual sovereignty, separation of powers, the Bill of Rights, family, faith, a secure border, and our national security.’
“My purpose here tonight is to tell you why I support Ted Cruz for President of the United States. I support Ted Cruz for President of the United States because I believe everything that i’ve just discussed with you he appreciates, he embraces, he understands, and he has fought for throughout his life too. That is the Constitution, the Republic, individual sovereignty, separation of powers, the Bill of Rights, family, faith, a secure border, our national security. Nobody’s perfect. My great idol Ronald Reagan wasn’t perfect. So it’s not that we seek perfection or that we look for nitpicking ways to oppose somebody. No, you look at the whole picture, you take the whole life of the individual, you look at their entire career over a period of time.”
Anyone paying attention could have seen this endorsement coming weeks ago, particularly after Levin’s fantastic speech at CPAC 2016.
