What We’re Reading March 3, 2016

Written by Onan Coca

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Thursday, March 3, 2016.

A pair from The Resurgent: On Tuesday night, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) won Alaska, brining his state total to 4, and drawing him within striking distance of Donald Trump in the GOP primary. The Super Tuesday results mean that Cruz is likely the only candidate remaining who could still topple Trump – if Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) will help by dropping out.

Could there be another way for Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz to defeat Donald Trump?

Donald Trump’s string of victories are proof-positive that he is successfully changing the GOP.

It seems that the Rubio exodus has already begun. In Florida, former Romney and Rubio supporters have begun shifting into the Ted Cruz camp. Even more surprising may be the recent comments from South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) (who once “joked” about murdering Cruz). Graham admitted on Wednesday that it may be time for the GOP to coalesce around Cruz!

While the GOP establishment was busy selling its soul and the average GOP voter was busy following Donald “the Pied Piper” Trump, Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse (R-NE) was busy becoming the “moral compass” of the Republican Party.

“Bernie” Bernard Sanders (I-VT)  has done well in the primary against Hillary Clinton, but you wouldn’t know it by looking at the Democrat delegate count. The Democrat primary system is “rigged”.

Should the Democrat Party be just as worried about 2016 as the Republican Party seems to be? A large number of Bernie voters are arguing that they won’t be voting for Clinton in November.

Our nation already misses Justice Antonin Scalia.
