We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!
It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Monday, February 22, 2016.
Did Senator [score]Ted Cruz[/score] (R-TX) just get robbed in South Carolina due to the state’s policy on “open primaries”?
Matt Walsh “tells it like it is” when it comes to the 2016 GOP primary race, focusing particular attention on Donald Trump.
Senator [score]Rand Paul[/score] (R-KY) says that while he may be out of the presidential race that does not mean he will hold back on his criticisms of GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
“I think he deserves both barrels. I want to make sure everyone in the country knows he’s a fake conservative… The message hasn’t penetrated yet that Donald Trump isn’t one of us. He’s barely a Republican. He’s been a Democrat… I think ultimately when voters fully grasp who he is and what he supports, I think they’ll run away with their hair on fire… Do we really want someone in charge of our nuclear arsenal who goes around basically using the insults of a junior high, or a sophomore in high school? That’s not the kind of person we want to be practicing the diplomacy of the United States.”
How many conservatives will choose not to vote if Donald Trump is the nominee? It seems like the number may be substantial.
Mr. Trump is being sued in California and New York for “misleading” students at Trump University.
Is the Senate GOP signaling that they will cave to whatever requests President Obama makes vis-à-vis the Supreme Court?
The Federalist argues that Senator [score]Marco Rubio[/score] (R-FL) needs to move aside and make way for Cruz. Meanwhile, Erick Erickson thinks that the one place the Cruz team could make improvements is by rebooting their message.
Conservative activist Lloyd Marcus worries that we might be letting Cruz get away…
What happens when you become a liberal? Panic Attacks, Depression and failure. I kid you not.
