What We’re Reading February 5, 2016

Written by Onan Coca

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Friday, February 5, 2016.

The latest national polling on the state of the GOP primary race is out, and since Iowa, there have been some seismic shifts in the polling. Donald Trump now has 25% of the vote and is still in 1st, but Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio have both pulled closer as the two men sit tied with 21% of the vote!

In a previous Public Policy Polling national survey released in December, Trump held a double-digit lead with 34 percent of the vote. His closest competitor, Cruz, followed with only 18 percent and Rubio took third with 13 percent

That Cruz-Carson spat is a non-story. CNN reported it first, and the Cruz campaign was not the only campaign spreading the story among their voters. So how is that the Cruz team is the only one being accosted for using the information? Honestly, this story is actually the Carson campaign’s fault

You know all of that palaver about Trump using his own money to run his campaign? It’s just not true… and the fundraising money he does bring in? 25% of it goes to his own companies!

Former President Jimmy Carter says that in a race between Ted Cruz and Donald Trump he would choose… Donald Trump. Why? Because he’d be easier to manipulate.

In the fight to find justice for the people of Flint, Michigan, it’s the Republicans leading the charge.

What would folks from the Civil Rights era think? Black college students are now demanding to be segregated from white students.

It’s been a big week for Ted Cruz. First he wins Iowa, then Rand Paul’s biggest supporters join his team, and Dr. Ben Carson’s own staff quits to sign on with Team Ted.

The New York Times says that Marco Rubio and Ted Cruz aren’t really Latino because they’re “too” American.

Liberals want to make all “anti-feminist” speech illegal!
