An odd thing happened over the weekend as Glenn Beck arrived at a rally in support of Ted Cruz, he ran into Hollywood veteran and star of such wonderful films as Jaws, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Mr. Holland’s Opus and American Graffiti, Richard Dreyfuss! Dreyfuss is a recovering liberal who left the Democrat Party less than a decade ago and has since been on an enlightening odyssey to the Right (both conservative and correct) side of American politics. Beck had never met the Hollywood superstar, but he was introduced by Fox News pollster, Frank Luntz, and an interesting conversation ensued where the three men discussed George Washington and Ted Cruz.
Here is video from some of their interaction (it’s difficult to hear the entire conversation because of the background noise):

Later, during his speech, Beck told the crowd a little about what the men talked about.
“I said, ‘Mr. Dreyfuss, nice to meet you. Why are you here?’ and he said ‘I heard there was a good movie,’” Beck recounted, adding that the pair proceeded to have “the most amazing conversation.” Beck then explained that he had brought along a compass once owned by George Washington as well as Washington’s copy of Don Quixote, the two artifacts seemed to fascinate Dreyfuss, who admired the compass as the on looking Luntz added that he was trying to figure out how he could escape with the compass!
It seems that Senator Cruz’s upstart campaign has managed to unite conservatives of all stripes in our effort to reclaim America’s true greatness of Constitution-centered liberty and responsibility.
