Trey Gowdy Explains Why He Sold Out Conservatives to Support Marco Rubio

Written by Onan Coca

Many conservatives were shocked when their favorite republican warrior in Congress, Trey Gowdy, (R-SC) decided to sell out conservatism and support the Amnesty candidate Marco Rubio (R-FL). Gowdy appeared earlier this week on Fox & Friends to explain why he decided to support Rubio instead of a stalwart and consistent conservative like Ted Cruz.
It all comes down to “national security.”
It’s a solid argument, Congressman, but you’re still wrong.
Cruz is just as strong on national defense (without violating Americans’ constitutional freedoms), and he’s also stronger on pretty much every other issue. Abortion, gay marriage, taxes, spending, the Constitution, on and on and on… You picked wrong Congressman, Gowdy, and we’re sad to see it happen.
