What We’re Reading December 9, 2015

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Wednesday, December 9, 2015.

Surprise! The Congressional Budget Office has scored the first two months of the 2016 fiscal year and has found that taxes, spending and the deficit are ALL UP! Based on this, we can already call the GOP Congress a failure.

The latest CNN poll of New Hampshire has Trump still leading big.

Stat-geek and political pundit Nate Silver thinks that the GOP and the polls have been “enabling” Donald Trump’s larger than life campaign.

Senators Rand Paul (R-KY) and Marco Rubio (R-FL) have been going toe-to-toe on foreign policy and the results aren’t pretty.

GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum is not happy with Bill Clinton, who he believes has been spreading rumors (untrue rumors) that the Santorum’s aborted one of their children.

Senator Jeff Flake (R-AZ) has picked up the mantle of “Waste Warrior” from retired Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK). Flake is set to release this year’s edition of the government “Wastebook,” which chronicles all of the terrible and creative ways our government goes about wasting our money.

As government leaders raise the call for Muslims to do more in the fight against terrorism, Shiite Muslims in Washington, D.C. hold a large anti-terrorism rally during one of their holiest religious celebrations.

I think we should just call this miniature golf.
