New York’s Silly Bike Ideas are Dangerous

RESTRICT BIKES

The NY Post lists that councilman Antonio Reynoso wants to “lift the requirement that cyclists follow the same traffic-light rules as motor-vehicle drivers.”

This is stupid.  We have enough car accidents.  We don’t have to increase the chances of bike crashes.

Bikes sneak up on you like pickpockets.  You don’t even notice them until they hit you.

Cars are necessary for transportation.  Bikes are frivolous toys for men in short pants.

De Blasio’s Vision Zero has no vision and accidents would just get worse with this plan. I picture him walking around with bike clips on his cuffs as he gets into his liberal limousine.

If it were up to me I wouldn’t loosen rules on bicycles and I would ban them from the streets and subway cars where slobs take up excessive space.

Yikes.  Spare me from nerdy bikes.
