What We’re Reading November 17, 2015

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading, Tuesday, November 17, 2015.

Oh boy, don’t look now, but the main stream media is starting to take note that Ted Cruz seems to be building some very serious momentum in his campaign for the GOP nomination. It’s not just the media who is starting to worry about Cruz’s campaign strength; his rivals are all eyeing him nervously now as well.

The fight against ISIS calls for a serious strategy, not some wing-and-a-prayer Obama team “Hail Mary”.

The New Yorker says – none of the Democrat candidates have a strategy for combatting ISIS.

The Daily Caller says – sure they do… the Democrat strategy for ISIS is to fight against Global Warming.

This terrifying display of stupidity from the Democrat candidates for President comes as ISIS threatens to attack Washington and other Western Cities in much the same way they just attacked Paris.

Two contrasting voices about free speech and college campuses:

‘College is the last place that should be a “‘safe space:”‘ A voice of protest AGAINST student protests.


At Amherst College students are actually using their freedom of speech to protest AGAINST free speech.

America’s colleges today are the stage for the theater of the absurd.

More states standing up and rejecting resettlement of Muslim refugees.

How should Christians respond to the Syrian refugee crisis? What do we do when fear, politics and faith mix?
