We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!
It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Monday October 28, 2013.
President Obama recently called German Chancellor Angela Merkel to try and smooth things over after revelations that the NSA spied on her became public. Sadly for him, the latest reports suggest that President Obama knew about the eavesdropping as early as 2010 and actually gave the go-ahead for it to continue!
Anger and concern about the Obama administration’s policies go way beyond the NSA spying scandal.
Dick Cheney had some harsh words of criticism for the Obama administration.
Cheney faulted the Obama White House’s handling of Middle East politics, saying the U.S. presence in the region had been “significantly diminished” in recent years. “I think our friends no longer count on us, no longer trust us and our adversaries don’t fear us,” he said.
Cheney also believes that it is high time the GOP let go of their old leaders and look to some new blood.
Here’s a sad story… Many middle-class Californians (who voted for Obama) were caught by surprise when they learned that they would be the ones paying for Obamacare! Apparently they didn’t realize that all of that new “free” healthcare was going to be more expensive than their old healthcare. “I was all for Obamacare until I found out I was paying for it.”
Liberal college professors who supported the Obamacare legislation are being hit hard by the negative repercussions of the law.
Most of the people that seem to be enrolling in Obamacare are actually signing up for Medicaid – once the White House finally releases the real enrollment numbers, things could get really tough for them.
Christian adoption is facing some hard times.
Florida Atlantic University continues to prove it is the nation’s worst University.
