What We’re Reading October 26, 2013

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday October 26, 2013.

Happy Saturday – kick your feet up, grab your coffee and read through the news…

Sit down – I bet you won’t believe what I’m about to tell you! The company that won the no-bid contract to build the Obamacare enrollment website has a very personal connection to the White House. One of the executives is an old college chum of the First Lady, Michelle Obama.

Marco Rubio has had an apparent change of heart on immigration. He now says that a piecemeal approach to immigration reform is needed… I wonder how that makes John McCain and Lindsey Graham feel? (Sad face) It’s good to see Rubio willing to admit he was wrong…

Here’s another reason that we LOVE Sarah Palin. Piers Morgan recently invited her on his show to discuss gun control (or more likely to help him boost his terrible ratings). Instead of simply turning down his request, Palin responded via Facebook, with a picture of a dead bear that she had apparently shot. On the picture she wrote, “Piers, kind of busy right now.” Sarah Palin is awesome.

The world is uniting behind the United Nations against the USA for allowing the NSA to spy on world leaders. I wonder what the “intelligence” agencies in other countries have been doing. Do these countries really expect us to believe that they don’t spy on us? That makes no sense.

“Debt Ceilings” don’t work – they actually act in a manner that eases debt increases. Whoops.

Oregon’s Obamacare exchange hasn’t signed up a single Oregonian, and they don’t expect to anytime soon.

Elderly New Yorkers are not happy having to deal with the repercussions of their votes. Obamacare is causing thousands of elderly New Yorkers to lose their health coverage.
