25 Shot in Just 14 Hours in Gun-Controlled Chicago, Including 3-Year-Old Boy

The weekend had barely begun when in the first 14 hours, the Windy City of Chicago saw 25 people shot, including a three-year-old boy.

The bloodletting began Friday afternoon and continued into early Saturday morning as the murderous gang warfare in Democrat-controlled Chicago raged unchecked once again. And we still have all of Saturday and Sunday to go, too!

Per Fox News:

The toddler was one of 25 people shot in Chicago over a 14-hour span from Friday afternoon to early Saturday morning. A 27-year-old man was killed after being shot in the chest and arm around 3pm Friday on Chicago’s South Side, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Police say the toddler was hit in his left shin in the Englewood neighborhood on the city’s South Side. He was transported to a children’s hospital and was in stable condition Friday night.

Another victim, a 27-year-old man, was shot in the torso and taken to St. Bernard Hospital. His condition was unknown, police said. A third victim was taken by ambulance to the University of Chicago Medical Center, authorities said. His condition was also unknown.

Three more men, ages 26, 29 and 30, were also taken to St. Bernard Hospital, where their conditions stabilized. The 29-year-old was shot in the left calf while the 30-year-old was shot in his left leg. The youngest man was hit in the left hand and leg.

A 38-year-old woman standing in a nearby backyard was hit by a stray bullet. She was treated on the scene.

The media likes to cover the weekend shootings in the Windy City, but the fact is this sort of bloodshed happens Monday through Thursday, too. Quite often, nearly as many people are shot and killed during each weekday as on the weekend.

All this in a city that constantly calls for new gun laws as if outlawing guns further will make criminals who ignore laws in the first place stop the shooting. One has to wonder when the city’s bellicose politicians will realize that the constant move for gun control does not address the problems endemic in the city’s worst, most crime-ridden neighborhoods?

The problem never has been the guns. It is the people wielding them. Chicago has a gang problem, not a gun problem. Until the city’s leaders fully accept that their black constituents have a problem with their culture, no solutions will ever come.

But, I guess it is easier to blame an inanimate object than to blame yourselves.
