Jeb Bush Must be Worried – Throws Marco Rubio Under the Bus

Jeb Bush (R-FL) is taking the gloves off when it comes to Marco Rubio (R-FL). I hope that the Rubio campaign is taking note and now discussing how to fire back at the Bush campaign, because up until this point, they’ve been very gracious to Bush.

The former Governor of Florida was a guest on MSNBC’s Morning Joe Thursday morning when he tossed his former protégé under the proverbial bus. In an odd attack on Rubio’s experience, Bush went so far as to compare the Senator from Florida to Barack Obama, even though Rubio served for a decade in Florida’s House of Representatives.

Jeb Bush: I think I have the leadership skills to fix things, and that is my strength, and that is what I talk about. And Marco was a member of the [Florida] House of Representatives when I was governor, and he followed my lead, and I am proud of that.

Morning Joe: You do not think [Rubio] has the skills to fix things?

Jeb Bush: No. Barack Obama didn’t end up having them, and he won an election based on the beleif that people had that he could.

Rubio is not analogous to Barack Obama of 2008. Senator Rubio has had far more experience in the rough and tumble world of politics than President Obama had when he was elected. Rubio has even served as the Majority Leader and the Speaker of the House in Florida, the 4th largest state (by population) in the nation.

But wait, it gets worse for Bush. Four years ago there was a lot of speculation surrounding the Romney campaign for the White House and who might be picked to be his choice for Vice President. Jeb Bush was one of the front runners for the VP spot, and people started asking him a lot of questions about the possibility. Bush denied the rumors but then did something interesting, he even offered up the man he thought was the best candidate for the VP job…

You guessed it, Marco Rubio.

Hmmm… well Jeb, if Marco was ready four years ago, why isn’t he ready now?
