What We’re Reading September 25, 2015

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Friday, September 25, 2015.

This is what happens when a religious leader decides to become a political lightning rod. Bloomberg News argues that the GOP will tune out half of what the Pope says, but forgets to mention that the Democrats will be tuning out the other half.

The good libertarian folks at Reason Online wonder if perhaps Pope Francis doesn’t understand capitalism because he gets it confused with Argentine corporatism.

Pope Francis meets with the Little Sisters of the Poor, who are currently being persecuted by the Obama administration and their efforts to force the nuns to act against their religious beliefs through Obamacare.

Speaking of the Obama team persecuting Christians, presidential candidate Mike Huckabee seemed to have this in mind when he seemingly questioned President Obama’s devotion to the Christian faith. “I’m less concerned about what faith the person has. I’m more concerned about the authenticity of their faith and how that plays out in their politics … I’m also concerned about a guy that believes he’s a Christian and pretends to be and then says he is, but then does things that makes it very difficult for people to practice their Christian faith… I’m disappointed if someone says, ‘I’m a Christian,’ but you invite the pope into your home and then you invite a whole bunch of people who are at odds with the Catholic Church policy. I think there’s something very unseemly about that,” Huckabee said.

I wonder how Hillary Clinton feels now that she knows that Democrats are willing to give her more money… if Bill is the one making the pitch for votes. Face it, the only reason Democrats give Hillary a 2nd thought is because she happens to be married to their favorite philandering former President.

Anyone else noticed that all of the Democrat candidates are tired, old retreads from a bygone era?

Scott Walker’s new mission in life is to make sure that Donald Trump disappears sooner rather than later.

You become a far more convincing liar when you have to pee. I kid you not.

The climate models that have been circulating are very unreliable – here’s why.

Yogi Berra was an American icon and he will be sorely missed.
