Shock Poll Puts Carly Fiorina in the Lead!

Wow. The first poll out after Wednesday night’s GOP debate has some shocking news for the candidates and might end up shaking Donald Trump’s confidence. Gravis Marketing and One America News’ first post-debate poll (of Republicans who had watched the GOP debate) show that Carly Fiorina has tied Donald Trump for the lead among GOP presidential candidates.

Trump can take some solace in that the numbers are just of those GOP voters who saw the debate, but this could just be a precursor for more movement in the other polls. Fiorina has been steadily working her way up in the polls since the first debate on Fox News, and all of her hard work finally seems to be paying off.

When Gravis asked debate viewers which candidate won, Fiorina was the runaway favorite.

Gravis wasn’t the only one whose respondents thought Fiorina crushed the debate. Politico’s poll of viewers found an even bigger Fiorina blowout.

Not a surprise for anyone who watched the debate unfold and saw Fiorina take a few hard whacks at Trump, along with swipes at Rand Paul, John Kasich and Jeb Bush among others. She scored some of the best moments of the debate as well – three such segments were some of the most popular moments of the debate.

Watch and you’ll see why:

  1. Fiorina responds to Trump criticizing her looks.

  1. Fiorina gets personal explaining her views on America’s drug policies.

  1. This last one though, may be her best moment of the debate. In this clip she is responding to John Kasich’s horrible belief that we shouldn’t “rip up” the Iranian Nuclear Deal by equating the deal with the lawlessness at Planned Parenthood. To me, moments like this are why more and more people are beginning to take Carly Fiorina seriously.

With moments like these, it’s no wonder that most viewers felt that Carly Fiorina “won” the night. What may come as a surprise is the fact that she apparently did a lot more than just win a debate on Wednesday. She changed minds as well. When Gravis asked poll respondents which GOP candidate they would vote for if the election were held today, responders gave Fiorina her first poll victory of the campaign.

Sure, she’s tied with Trump, but Trump had been far ahead of the field (besides Ben Carson) for a couple of months now, and this poll is bad news for his team.

The point here is obvious. Fiorina is winning converts and building momentum heading into the fall, and this second debate should be a clear warning to the other candidates (including the Democrats): Carly Fiorina is a force to be reckoned with.

Carly Fiorina nailed it in the second Republican debate.

That’s the assessment of GOP insiders in a special edition of the POLITICO Caucus, our weekly survey of the top operatives, activists and strategists in Iowa and New Hampshire…

Sixty percent of Republican insiders called Fiorina the biggest winner of the evening — no one else was even close — pointing to everything from how she handled Donald Trump to her grasp of policy issues.

A New Hampshire Republican cheered, “The nation finally got a chance to see what we in New Hampshire have been intrigued and impressed by: a political outsider with some real policy chops and the demeanor to be considered a serious contender.”

Every candidate in the race better watch out — Carly Fiorina’s campaign is building steam — and if they aren’t careful she just might run them over.
