Giuliani’s Compassion for the Homeless

Letter on Giuliani

In the 9-6-2015 Daily News Rudy Giuliani said, “When I was mayor, we did all we could to remove the homeless from the streets not only for safety  and sanitary reasons, but out of love and compassion for each of the homes as persons, as children of God.”

Sweet words.  Who cares?  The priority is not “love and compassion” but returning the city to the functionality and splendor of earlier years.

The city is a giant corporation that must operate smoothly to keep its services running and its people from thuggery.

Obama, de Blasio and Hillary all want to pretend that they are Jesus Christ.  But when you’re not the Son of God there is little that you can fake or do.

Giuliani was capable of greatness but he shouldn’t throw his lot in with the fake popes and talk about love and compassion.  Leave that to the priests.

His gift to us was tough love.
