What We’re Reading September 11, 2015

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

Al Qaeda declares war on ISIS?

This is scary – Al Qaeda has been training terrorists to carry out “lone wolf” attacks which are harder to stop and can be undertaken randomly and anywhere in the country.

Donald Trump says that Ben Carson was “perhaps an okay doctor” which stuns CNN host Chris Cuomo. (Dr. Carson is a pioneer in the field of pediatric neurosurgery – perhaps the BEST pediatric neurosurgeon ever. In fact, he’s so good, that years ago they made a movie about him starring Cuba Gooding, Jr.) Calling Dr. Carson “okay” at his job is ridiculous; the man is a genius.

For conservative critics of county clerk Kim Davis, perhaps before you attack her you should first consider who has actually violated the rule of law in this situation.

It’s always the same with the GOP. Dueling reports out today indicate that Republicans are divided on how they should respond to both the Planned Parenthood scandal and on how they should respond to the Iran Nuclear Deal. The only thing the GOP is ever united on… is being divided.

Um. Yilkes. Sheriff Joe Arpaio thinks Donald Trump has gone “too far” on his anti-Mexico rhetoric.

Russia’s Putin is sending troops to Syria, but not just any soldiers — the same soldiers who took half of Ukraine.
