What We’re Reading October 12, 2013

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday October 12, 2013.

Happy Saturday!

Well, it looks like the House GOP has reached a “compromise” with President Obama and the Democrats that will re-open the government. Here’s the “compromise” (you tell me how good it sounds for conservatives…)– fund Obamacare, raise the debt ceiling, undo the sequester cuts and reopen the government. In exchange for meeting all of Obama’s demands… the GOP will get a “framework” for future negotiations. Wow. Way to go GOP.

Representative Peter King (R-NY) says that he’s the “real” conservative and that Ted Cruz and Rand Paul are the actual “RINO’s.”[1]

Dr. Ben Carson is clear on what he believes the effects of Obamacare will be – he says it’s the worst thing that’s happened since slavery.

The “Trucker’s Ride for the Constitution” did not quite meet expectations… many fewer showed up than organizers had hoped.

Hopefully the “Million Vet March on the Memorials” scheduled for Sunday will do better attendance-wise, don’t forget to go out and support our veterans!

Tavis Smiley of PBS says that blacks have lost ground on every possible economic front during the Obama Presidency.

Here’s a story of one man’s huge Obamacare disaster.
