Donald Trump appeared on CNN’s morning show, Newday, and spoke with host Chris Cuomo about the ongoing Planned Parenthood scandal, and his supporters may be interested with what he had to say. It seems that perhaps the GOP candidate for President may not be as anti-Planned Parenthood as he has let on in the past. When the interview began Trump argued convincingly that PP should not get a single red cent from the federal government, but by the end he was openly suggesting that Planned Parenthood continue getting federal funds for anything not related to abortion.
(Apparently Trump is unaware that this is already the arrangement.)
Watch for yourself.

Did you get that? At first Trump sounds like a solid conservative on the issue;
“The problem that I have with Planned Parenthood is the abortion situation. It is like an abortion factory, frankly. And you can’t have it. And you just shouldn’t be funding it. That should not be funded by the government, and I feel strongly about that.”
However, when pushed just a little by the uber-liberal Chris Cuomo, Trump folds like a house of cards.
“What I would do when the time came, I’d look at the individual things they do, and maybe some of the individual things they do are good. I know a lot of the things are bad. But certainly the abortion aspect of it should not be funded by government, absolutely.”
A moment later Trump adds, “I would look at the good aspects of [Planned Parenthood], and I would also look, because I’m sure they do some things properly and good and that are good for women, and I would look at that, and I would look at other aspects also. But we have to take care of women.”
Again, Mr. Trump, this is exactly the situation that exists today as it pertains to Planned Parenthood. So your answer to the PP question is… don’t change anything. The majority of conservatives do not agree with Trump on this issue. Planned Parenthood is a criminal enterprise that is leading the way in the wholesale slaughter of our children in their continued efforts to make money for their executives.
Just last week Trump argued that Planned Parenthood should be defunded, even if it meant shutting down the government. Now, he’s arguing for something quite different. Two options exist here: either Trump just completed an amazingly quick flip-flop on PP or (and perhaps even worse) he has no idea that PP is already barred from using federal funds for abortions. Either answer is evidence that Trump is not prepared to run for President and it’s yet another reason (and there are many) for Trump supporters to move on to another candidate.
