Hillary Clinton has just released an ad offering her full, unwavering support of Planned Parenthood, even after the revelations have come to light that Planned Parenthood has been callously and profitably selling baby organs and other body parts (which is against federal law). Just last week, Clinton had mentioned that she found the videos and the crimes revealed in them to be “disturbing.” However, after saying this she received sufficient enough backlash from the abortion community that she must have felt the need to reassert her strong convictions that baby murder is a completely acceptable practice.
Here’s her mea culpa where she offers her full, unconditional, unwavering support to Planned Parenthood.
Just in case you are operating under the false assumption that Planned Parenthood is actually a net positive in our country, let me give you some good information.
Planned Parenthood lies about the services they provide in an effort to engender support from the ignorant.
Planned Parenthood, the nation’s top abortion provider, swears up and down that notwithstanding the numerous admissions made on tape by its top officials, the organization doesn’t buy or sell organs and body parts harvested from aborted babies. Then, in order to defend its reputation, Planned Parenthood points to other medical procedures performed by the group that don’t result in body counts. One of its top rhetorical gimmicks is to reference all the mammograms that women can receive by visiting Planned Parenthood:
Planned Parenthood helps women nationwide get access to mammograms, as part of the range of health care Planned Parenthood health centers provide to nearly three million people a year.
There’s only one problem: Planned Parenthood does not manage a single licensed mammography facility in the U.S. Not one. Of the 8,735 licensed mammography facilities in America, Planned Parenthood operates exactly zero.
Democrats lie about Planned Parenthood in an effort to not get in trouble with their constituents and to keep getting support from the abortion industry.
Abortion extremists and other supporters of Planned Parenthood have complained that a vote to defund Planned Parenthood would be a vote to hurt women. They say that Planned Parenthood is a vital provider of women’s health care services. But that’s only true, Democrats for Life of America explains, “if you define health care services as abortion.”
Charles Camosy, an associate professor of theological and social ethics at Fordham University and the author of Beyond the Abortion Wars: A Way Forward for a New Generation, wrote about the two groups recently:
The first thing to get clear is that Planned Parenthood actually doesn’t provide all that much for poor, vulnerable women — particularly if they don’t live in cities. Indeed, you may remember that, in wake of the Susan J. Komen defunding ridiculousness from a few years ago, lots of charges were thrown around about women losing out on mammograms. But it turns out that Planned Parenthood doesn’t even provide them. As Democrats for Life has pointed out numerous times in recent days, the number of local community health centers outnumber Planned Parenthood clinics ten to one. Rather than the one-size-fits-all franchise approach of Planned Parenthood, these community health centers nicely embody the principle of subsidiarity in responding to the diverse local needs of women — whether in the Bronx, rural Kansas, or southern California.
