What We’re Reading July 11, 2015

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday, July 11, 2015.

The Confederate Flag comes down in South Carolina.

Obama’s losing “fight” with ISIS has cost our nation billions of dollars. This is in spite of the fact that we have never developed a clear or complete strategy to deal with the terrorist scourge.

Our cities have seen a massive spike in homicides since the start of 2015.

Noah Rothman writes that Rick Perry is showing the GOP how you have to deal with Donald Trump.

The FBI is blaming a “breakdown in criminal background checks” for allowing Charleston shooter Dylann Roof to buy a gun.

300 of Jeb Bush’s top donors just got an invite to hang out with him at his mom and dad’s place in Maine.

The head of the OPM, an Obama political appointee, has resigned. Now CNN is blaming her failures on… you guessed it, the GOP. Somehow CNN has decided that the GOP is at fault for allowing her to be appointed even though 35 GOP Senators voted against her, while every Democrat voted for her!
