Surprise! Obama and His Team LIED – Gruber Played Major Role in Obamacare

I’m sure this won’t come as a big surprise to our readers who followed the sage of Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber a few months back. Apparently, the Obama administration’s many comments, denials and rebuttals on Gruber’s involvement in crafting the Obamacare law were all lies! (Will wonders never cease?) Sadly for the incompetent team currently residing in the White House, there is a “paper trail” proving that Gruber was far more involved than they wanted America to know.

The Wall Street Journal obtained a treasure trove of emails between Jonathan Gruber and the Obama administration, and the emails contain damning evidence proving that the administration lied to avoid the fallout of Gruber’s comments about the “stupidity of the American voter.”

From Fox News:

The Wall Street Journal, citing 20,000 pages of emails sent by Gruber between January 2009 and March 2010, reported Sunday that Gruber was frequently consulted by staffers and advisers for both the White House and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) about the Affordable Care Act. Among the topics that Gruber discusses in the emails are media interviews, consultations with lawmakers, and even how to publicly describe his role.

The Journal reports that the officials Gruber contacted by e-mail included Peter Orszag, then the director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB); Jason Furman, an economic adviser to the president; and Ezekiel Emanuel, then a special adviser for health policy at OMB.

From the Hill:

Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) told the newspaper that the communications disprove Gruber’s past assertions that he was a limited participant in creating the healthcare law.

The House Oversight Committee chairman added that his committee had obtained 20,000 pages emails after working with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where Gruber is an economist.

“His proximity to HHS and the White House was a whole lot tighter than they admitted,” Chaffetz said of Gruber’s relationship with the Obama administration, according to the Journal.

“There’s no doubt he was a much more integral part of this than they’ve said,” he added.

The folks on MSNBC’s Morning Joe did their level best to avoid calling what the Obama team did lying. But they used every other word they could think of that basically means the same thing.

When MSNBC is making fun of you for lying, you know you’re in trouble.
