We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.
So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Saturday September 28, 2013.
Does anyone else the ridiculous irony in the news that President Obama is ready, willing and able to negotiate with the Iranian government but will not under any circumstance negotiate with Republicans over the debt ceiling? Seems a bit odd, no? Or maybe it’s just business as usual for the Obama administration…
John McCain is not happy with the divide that currently exists in the GOP, though he seems to have forgotten that much of that is his own fault.
Liberal Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Seymour Hersh who won his prize for exposing the My Lai Massacre, is getting “angry about the timidity of journalists in America, their failure to challenge the White House and be an unpopular messenger of truth.”
CNS News reports that a large group of Congressmen wrote a letter to Speaker of the House John Boehner imploring him to put language into the Continuing resolution to fund Obamacare that would end abortion funding and religious discrimination inherent in the law. The letter asks Rep. Boehner to “incorporate H.R. 940, the Health Care Conscience Rights Act, along with a cessation of federal dollars for abortions into the continuing resolution or on legislation addressing the debt ceiling.”
