What We’re Reading September 25, 2013

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Wednesday September 25, 2013.

Ted Cruz began his epic filibuster yesterday in the early afternoon and he is still carrying on this morning trying to remind the Senate who they worked for. He made great points that many of you, Eagle Rising readers, have been making for months.

In a related story about Senator Cruz, one conservative columnist calls Cruz “the Republicans Barack Obama.”

USA Today is reporting that thousands of children will lose their healthcare when Obamacare goes into effect, then characterizes the problem as a “glitch.”

Senator John McCain is denying a story that reported that one of his aides said that, “He f*cking hates Cruz… He’s just offended by his style.” Instead Senator McCain says that he and Senator Cruz are “very friendly.” “I just had dinner with Senator Cruz last week we have a very cordial relationship. We agree on a lot more things than we disagree,” Senator McCain told Breitbart News. “I think we’re very friendly.”

In more Democrat gun-grab shenanigans Virginia’s Democrat candidate for Governor, Terry McAuliffe has promised similar gun control legislation to what was passed in Colorado. That is, if he becomes Governor. Just another reason for the good folks in the Old Dominion to vote Republican. In Maryland, where strict gun control legislation has already been passed Marylanders have been buying an average of 1,000 guns per day for the last two weeks. Their new gun control laws go in to effect next week, so expect the rush on guns to continue.

In less important news out of Dallas, Texas… a sexist male gorilla will be transferred to South Carolina so that he can get therapy for his sexist attitude. No, i’m not kidding and yes the world is really screwed up.
