What We’re Reading September 23, 2013

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Monday September 23, 2013.

I hope no one has “a case of the Monday’s” today, and that your week is starting out in spectacular fashion… in the world of news it was a “slow” weekend, but that doesn’t mean this week won’t be a big news week.

The strongest storm of the Hurricane season is rapidly weakening and has not been as destructive as was worried about. Tropical Storm Usagi is in its final decline.

Sarah Palin says it’s time for the GOP to stand united and end the scourge that is Obamacare. Ted Cruz needs the support of the GOP establishment, and she warns that they better give it to him. Meanwhile, Ted Cruz spoke out against the dictatorial tactics that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid employs in the Senate, saying it’s an abuse of his power to demand a “majority vote” on Obamacare.

An Islamic terrorist group attacked a mall in Nairobi, Kenya this weekend killing at least 68 and wounding many others. Several Americans were part of the group involved in the attack, and apparently it’s not the first time the al Qaeda-linked terror group al-Shabaab has used radicalized American Muslims in their attacks.

In another terrorist attack in Peshawar, Pakistan at least 78 were killed and more than 100 wounded by a suicide bomber in an ancient, and historic Christian Church. Eagle Rising, joins with the families of the people killed in Pakistan mourning the loss of our brothers and sisters in the faith. We know that they now rest easy in the arms of our Lord, and that the perpetrators of this gruesome and heinous attack will receive His judgment.

In Germany the conservative Christian Democratic Union won its most sweeping victory in years. Crushing the opposition and setting up Chancellor Angela Merkel as the most powerful woman in the world. The conservative victory in Germany continues a worldwide trend among western powers that began with the conservative’s victory in Australia and continued in their historic win in Norway.

Liberal icon George Soros is getting married, again. This wedding may just be the political event of the year, promising to draw the biggest names in politics and power.

Representative Alan Grayson (D-FL) praises the rise of “stealth socialism” in America. It’s nice to see that we conservatives aren’t crazy, and that there are liberals who are willing to admit that the United States is rapidly moving towards socialism.

Representative Cory Gardner (R-CO) opted out of Obamacare… then his insurance got cancelled.
