What We’re Reading September 16, 2013

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Monday September 16, 2013.

Joe Biden gave a speech in Iowa… and it seemed a lot like the kind of speech you give when you are planning to run for President. Yuck.

clintonbloodSurprise, surprise… a new government report indicates that the State Department investigation of Benghazi (handled by Hillary Clinton’s staff) failed to hold the right people accountable. It seems that Mrs. Clinton’s State Department only went after the little fish, and let the important people walk. Government corruption anyone?

Another healthcare provider is having to lay off many of its employees. What seems to be the problem? Oh, just a little bit of law called OBAMACARE.

A group of Western Maryland counties are trying to secede from the state. The liberal government in Annapolis does not represent the views of many citizens of the conservative western counties, and so they’d like to form their own state.

Representative Justin Amash (R-MI) explains why President Obama should thank the GOP for trying to defund Obamacare.

Abortion clinics are closing at historic rates!

Things are looking awfully good for the conservatives in Germany just a week out from the national elections! Could we see continued conservative dominance in recent elections? The Aussies, the Norwegians, and now the Germans? Here’s hoping…

Will Yemen finally outlaw their horrific pedophilia problem?

The Arizona High School that was forcing students to read explicit sexual content has pulled the book from its classes. They have also apologized to outraged parents in their community. We wrote about that here at Eagle Rising last week, and many of you were as appalled as the parents.

Townhall.com tried to compile a list of the 25 Most Influential conservatives… I think they failed. What do you think?

Speaking of Townhalls, Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) will hold a Facebook town hall this Wednesday night… and you should show up!
