The Liberal Double Standard on Liberal Racism and Hate is Disgusting!

This past week, Fox News ran a clip of Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan attacking Rudy Giuliani in front of his congregation. In this clip, Farrakhan reacts to Giuliani’s assertion that President Obama doesn’t love America (as if Farrakhan does). Farrakhan refers to Giuliani as a “privileged cracker” and a “privileged devil”.

Leaving aside the obvious racist nature of Farrakhan’s sickening remarks, I would like to highlight the fact that this man was actually invited to speak at UC Berkeley in 2012.  Of course, student groups are pretty much able to invite whomever they wish to speak only limited by their own good judgment, but the appearance left a black mark of shame on the campus, which hardly needs any more.

In addition, just days ago, I attended a speaking appearance at UC Irvine hosted by the Muslim Student Union during its annual Islam Awareness Week. farrakahnThe speaker was UCI professor of film and media studies, Sohail Daulatzai, who was born in Pakistan and immigrated to this country with his family as a boy. Daulatzai is a man who shows deep contempt for America in his writings and speaking appearances, and this event was no exception. He is a big admirer of Malcolm X and other black militants. He also believes that there was some sort of white conspiracy behind the murder of Malcolm. (Don’t ask me how bogus conspiracy theorists get to be university professors. I have no idea.)

At any rate, during his laudatory talk on Malcolm, Daulatzai also inserted some complimentary language about the Nation of Islam. Of course, he did not want to talk about the fact that it was the Nation of Islam that actually murdered Malcolm.

But back to Farrakhan. There have long been rumors (unconfirmed) that Farrakhan was part of the conspiracy that killed Malcolm. Betty Shabazz, Malcolm’s widow, always believed that Farrakhan was involved.

Louis Farrakhan is a hate-monger, and the Nation of Islam is an organization consumed by hatred. Farrakhan’s latest rant is evidence of that. Of course, that doesn’t stop them from having plenty of admirers in academia. That they do is just another symptom of the moral and intellectual rot that infects our campuses and is sadly infecting the minds of our youth.
