What We’re Reading August 30, 2013

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Friday August 30, 2013.

Republican Kentucky Senator Rand Paul implores President Obama not to rush into war with Syria, in an op-ed for CNN. By the way, the British decided today that they would not be intervening in Syria.

Slate editor Allison Benedikt says that if you send your children to private school, you’re a bad person. In her perspective all kids should have to suffer in the subpar public education system, because that’s the only way to make things better.

Bill Clinton doesn’t seem to know what he’s talking about when comparing Voter ID laws and gun purchases.

A disgusting scene unfolded at an Iowa abortion rally as Iowa Democrats prayed for God to bless abortion providers and the practice of abortion. I’m not kidding.

The legislature may have chosen to leave our gun rights alone, but that doesn’t mean President Obama isn’t going to try and limit our rights on his own.

An MIT Professor tells it like it is – Global Warming is a religion.

One Irish person emigrates from Ireland every six minutes… that’s a lot of Irishmen.

Stories like this remind me that some people are really screwed up.

Dude. Apparently some Hare Krishna’s are terrifying!
