What We’re Reading February 6, 2015

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Friday February 6, 2015.

It’s ISIS vs. Al Qaeda for the “soul” of the radical Islamist movement. The latest ISIS execution video is just more evidence of how serious these lunatics are… and how unserious we must appear to them.

A recent report drawn up by a British parliamentary committee details their belief that the British government must do more to fight against Islamic militarism. The report also blasted Parliament for not seeming to have any clear strategy in the fight.

Will there be any real difference between candidate Jeb Bush 2016 and candidate Mitt Romney from 2012? You have to give Bush credit; he does have something of a big vision for what he calls “post-industrial” America.

The liberals in government and their allies in the media are succeeding in getting Americans to redefine economic success in very mediocre terms.(Daniel Patrick) Moynihan said that when deviant behaviors — e.g., violent crime, or births to unmarried women — reach a certain level, society soothes itself by “defining deviancy down.” It de-stigmatizes the behaviors by declaring them normal. And sometimes, Moynihan said, social problems are the result of “iatrogenic government.”

This is what liberals have been doing to our economy!

Moist Republicans think that new Iowa Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) has all the right tools to one day be President.

The GOP has invited Pope Francis to come speak to a joint session of Congress in September of 2015 and surprisingly the Democrat mumbling has been muted. It seems to be more evidence of the irrational Israel hatred in the Democrat Party today…
