Breaking News

What We’re Reading January 6, 2015

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Tuesday January 6, 2015.

Don’t let the liberal media fool you, Mike Huckabee is still very important to GOP electoral politics.

President Obama and the soon-to-be Senate Majority leader, Mitch McConnell, met on Saturday to begin discussing the things they think they can compromise on.

In China, the Maoists are making a comeback… which is a very scary thing indeed.

They pounce on bloggers who dare mock their beloved Chairman Mao. They scour the nation’s classrooms and newspapers for strains of Western-inspired liberal heresies. And they have taken down professors, journalists and others deemed disloyal to Communist Party orthodoxy.

China’s Maoist ideologues are resurgent after languishing in the political desert, buoyed by President Xi Jinping’s traditionalist tilt and emboldened by internal party decrees that have declared open season on Chinese academics, artists and party cadres seen as insufficiently red.

Um. How can we still NOT KNOW who was behind the Sony hack attack?

The Palestinians continue to use violence, terror and hate to fight against Israel, and it’s time that the world stop giving them a pass for that.

Mia Love (R-UT) says she stands with Steve Scalise (R-LA) in the aftermath of his brush with white supremacists.
