Politicians Brawl on the Floor of the Legislature!

In the small Caucuses nation of Georgia, politicians take their politics very seriously. So seriously, in fact, that from time to time they are willing to trade blows over their partisan differences! Such was the case this past week when a fight erupted on the Parliament floor the day after Christmas!

Akaki Bobokhidze is a Member of Parliament (MP) from the opposition (or minority) party, and he started the trouble when he used a few choice swear words during a speech directed at the ruling coalition (Majority parties). The speech led to both sides trading swear words, threats and then finally… punches.

This was not the first fight to break out on the Parliament floor in Georgia… and it probably won’t be the last.
