What We’re Reading December 29, 2014

We hope you’re having a great day wherever you are and that the news we dig up for you this morning helps you navigate the day more efficiently!

It’s a busy world out there, and you don’t have a ton of free time to be doing Internet searches for the most important items of the day… lucky for you, we do. We drink gallons of coffee in an effort to stay awake long enough to scour the far reaches of the world wide web in an effort to bring you the most important, useful and useless information every single day.

You’re welcome.

So without further ado, here’s what we’re reading Monday December 29, 2014.

In 2016 the GOP will really, truly be the “big tent” party. The GOP Presidential contenders will offer far more diversity than their Democrat rivals.

“This is a diverse nation, and we need to be a diverse party,” said Carly Fiorina, the former Hewlett-Packard chief executive and only Republican woman openly weighing a 2016 bid. “That doesn’t mean we sacrifice our principles, but it means we need to look like and understand and empathize with the nation.”

Our national divisions on race go far deeper than just black and white.

There are many in the intelligence community who don’t think that there is nearly enough evidence to blame North Korea for the hacking of Sony. However, a new theory that points at our Russian rivals seem to be gathering steam among security analysts.

Did the Kurdish victory over ISIS at the battle of Sinjar turn the tide of war against the evil Islamic terrorist group?

“For the first time you can sense the feelings of fear and frustration in ISIS’s fighters,” one Mosul doctor, who had been seeing ISIS casualties come in, told NIQASH; he had to remain anonymous for security reasons. “As the number of dead and wounded from among their ranks increases, they look more and more like they’ve lost confidence in their leadership.”

As more Americans sign up for Medicaid the government is cutting payments to doctors, which is only exacerbating our doctor shortage problem.

Folks, this needs to be clear. Elizabeth Warren is as close to socialist as the Democrats get. She is NOT a Populist.

2014 has been a very scary time for America… but still there is hope.

Government bureaucracy is strangling good Samaritans. It’s time to get the government out of charity work.
